The currency you're charged in is set by your billing country at checkout.

What counts as a stack operation

A stack operation is one stack create, update or delete. A commit that touches three stacks counts as three stack operations.

Lambda build credit

Each plan includes credit for building your Lambda images and packages and uploading them to S3. Builds run on Automeer and are billed at Automeer rates: vCPU and memory, per second. The credit covers that first, and usage beyond it is billed at the same rates.

How billing works

Limits, quotas and billing dates are covered in the questions below.

Worked example: Starter, 13,000 stack operations in a month

Included in Starter
10,000 stack operations
Over the allowance
3,000 stack operations
Overage, 3 × $5A$7.50
$15A$22.50
Next month's Starter subscription
$50A$75
Billed on the 1st
$50A$75 + $15A$22.50 = $65A$97.50

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a stack operation?

One stack create, update or delete. A commit that touches three stacks counts as three stack operations.

What does the Lambda build credit cover?

Building your Lambda images and packages, and uploading them to S3. Builds run on Automeer and are billed at Automeer rates, for vCPU and memory, per second. The credit is used first, and usage beyond it is billed at those same rates.

What happens when I reach my plan's limit?

On the Free plan, stack operations stop until the allowance resets at the start of the following month. There is no overage on Free. On a paid plan, stack operations past the allowance are billed as overage, at the overage rate shown under the plans. Overage is billed per block of 1,000 stack operations, rounded up. On Starter, 10,001 stack operations means one overage block: $5 (A$7.50 ex GST).

Can I limit how much overage I pay?

Yes. On a paid plan you can set your own overage quotas, separately for stack operations and for Lambda build usage beyond the credit. When the stack operation quota is reached, everything stops: no stack operations and no Lambda builds. When only the Lambda build quota is reached, Lambda builds stop and stack operations carry on until they reach their own quota. Everything starts again when the next month begins.

Do unused stack operations roll over?

No. Nothing rolls over from one month to the next. On the 1st of each month you are billed for that month's subscription plus the previous month's overage.

When does a month start and end?

Months follow UTC, as AWS billing does. A month runs from 00:00:00 UTC on the 1st to 23:59:59 UTC on its last day. Allowances reset, and anything stopped by a limit or quota starts again, at 00:00:00 UTC on the 1st.

Which currency will I pay in, and is GST included?

The currency you're charged in is set by your billing country at checkout. Stackmuster is billed by Autyra Pty Ltd, which is registered for GST in Australia, so Australian customers pay 10% GST and customers outside Australia do not. If you pay in USD, some banks may add a foreign transaction fee because the billing company is in Australia. Check with your card provider.

Which Git hosts does Stackmuster work with?

Any Git host that supports SSH. Stackmuster connects with a read-only SSH deploy key, plus webhooks.

Does early access come with different pricing?
